Laser Hair Removal for all skin types – Pulse Light Clinic London

Four years ago, I started laser hair removal on my under arms. It was the BEST DECISION EVER!

I would have gone years earlier, but I once heard that laser hair removal only worked on very dark hair. I am SO pale that I am basically translucent and most of my body hair is too. The technician assured me that although darker hair gets results faster, the new technology works on any and all skin types, even vampires like me. I was so relieved to hear this because it didn’t matter if I used sensitive shaving cream, epilated or waxed, my under arms were always left red, bumpy and very sore for a few days. I even got a few cysts from a wax gone wrong. I decided that the hassle of removing the hair from my under arms needed to end, once and for all, so I booked an appointment.

Before my first appointment, I was expecting the process to be slow and excruciatingly painful, but it wasn’t. I actually really enjoyed it and I started looking forward to it because I would spend 15 minutes chatting to the technician whilst she zapped my arms and I didn’t feel a thing – seriously.

I noticed results right from the start. My hair began shedding a week after the first appointment. After the five subsequent treatments (six weeks apart) all the hair had stopped growing back. Not having to worry about my under arm hair has been amazing. I didn’t think that it would make such a big impact on my life, but it did. Never having to think about shaving, never getting razor burn, etc. I also have less body odor because of it, which was an unexpected bonus.

There are a few stragglers starting to grow now after four years, but they are so fine and translucent that I’m not worried about them just yet. I will be going for a top up treatment next year though to keep them at bay.

If you are interested in laser hair removal, but are not sure where to start, then I suggest booking a free consultation at Pulse Light Clinic in London. At the consultation they’ll walk you through the entire process and you can ask all the questions you like before committing.
